Jay-Z wants to show Wall Street the blueprint for his success.

The hip-hop icon and music business mogul plan to speak to some of Wall Street’s titans during the Robin Hood Foundation’s annual investor conference.

The organizers told CNBC that the music manager is expected to talk about his business career, including how he built his billion dollar brand and how he is using data to make investment decisions. Before this story he had to be included on the public list of speakers.

Jay-Z is also expected to discuss his latest deal with Square, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s payments company.

He is an example of the visionary, cutting-edge investor who shares our stage every year to provide expert knowledge and At the same time the measurable and sustainable programs to support Robin Hood is committed to lifting New Yorkers out of poverty, “said John Griffin, founder of Blue Ridge Capital and chief executive officer of Robin Hood, in a statement to CNBC on Thursday.

The virtual conference for Robin Hood will take place on June 16 and is a fundraising campaign for the foundation. Robin Hood, who fights poverty, raised over $ 20 million from investor conferences between 2016 and 2020. This is the first time Jay-Z has spoken at the annual conference.

It could be an opportunity for Jay-Z to share his story with a group of Wall Street executives who may be interested in doing future business with him.

This year, among others, star investors David Tepper and Ray Dalio will speak on various panels. Paul Tudor Jones will host a panel with Dawn Fitzpatrick from Soros Fund Management, Greg Jensen from Bridgewater Associates and Eric Peters from One River Asset Management.

In addition to his contract with Dorsey, Jay-Z launched his own cannabis brand last year. The wine and spirits division of the luxury conglomerate LVMH later acquired a 50% stake in its champagne brand.

Jay-Z is also expected to speak about his work with the Reform Alliance, a criminal justice advocacy group. He is a founding partner of the organization, along with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and well-known crypto investor Mike Novogratz.

Jay-Z press representatives have not returned a request for comment.

Robin Hood is one of Wall Street’s most popular charities.

The board of directors includes people such as businesswoman Jacklyn Bezos, mother of billionaire Jeff Bezos; Dina Powell, executive director of Goldman Sachs who is also the foundation’s vice chairwoman; and affiliates CEO Jeff Blau.
