New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is about to make remarks following a bombing report from the Attorney General’s Office that found he sexually molested at least 11 women and monitored a hostile work environment in his office.
The New York Congregation’s Judiciary Committee announced Monday that it would complete its review of the evidence for an impeachment investigation against Cuomo within the next few weeks.
The governor is expected to address the 165-page report, which includes interviews with 179 witnesses and a review of thousands of documents.
The month-long investigation found that Cuomo “sexually molested several women in violation of federal and state laws,” Attorney General Letitia James told a news conference last week. There were no specific penalties associated with the report, noted James.
Cuomo vigorously denied the report’s allegations last week.
“I have never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances,” Cuomo said. “I’m 63 years old. I’ve been in public my entire adult life. I’m just not.”
