White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon.
The briefing comes after the Biden government announced on Wednesday that $ 10 billion from the recently passed coronavirus aid package would be used on Covid-19 tests for schools to help drive the return to face-to-face learning across the country accelerate.
The money goes towards screening and diagnostic tests for teachers, staff and students. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will allocate the funds to the states by April, the administration said.
The administration previously announced $ 650 million funding for testing at K-8 schools. The president has urged states to vaccinate all teachers and school staff in America by the end of March.
